Funny story with this piece. I actually hated this drawing a few days ago... and now I love it. I'd even go so far as to say that it's one of my favorite pieces in my gallery now. Bizarre!

Anyway, I wanted to paint this originally, but fuuuh watercolors suck so bad and I really wanted to keep it true to the anime style. Growing up, Pokemon was the first anime that I ever watched and my siblings, my mother, and I were all completely obsessed with it. Our neighbors had even dubbed our mother the "Poke-MOM" because she was so hooked on it. We had toys, cards, VHS tapes, plushies, pajamas, blankets, costumes...

Man, it really brings back a lot of good memories. :D

So, yaaay, nostalgia, haha! I know my perspective sucks, but I'm really trying to practice harder. I want to be more comfortable with angles and motion.

Yeah, Raichu was cool. He was twice Pikachu's size, I think. It's been a long time since I've seen one on TV...then again, I lost track seasons ago. XD
